Update: April 13, 2021 – Parents & Guardians:
In an announcement made April 12, 2021, Ontario Premier Ford stated that effective April 19, 2021 all Ontario schools will move to on-line learning. The news release can be found at https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/61106/ontario-moves-schools-to-remote-learning-following-spring-break
Sundowners intends to continue to operate our full day preschool programs at: Holy Cross, King Edward, General Brock, Dougall and Talbot Trail with slightly reduced hours. Ministry directives prohibit Sundowners from providing full day or before and after school care to kindergarten and school age children as the intent is for these children to actively participate in on-line learning at home. Should any of this information change, it will be posted on our website at www.sundownersdaycare.com.
Preschool Hours During School Closures:
Holy Cross: 8:00-5:30
King Edward: 7:30-5:00
General Brock: 7:45-5:45
Dougall: 7:30-5:30
Talbot Trail: 7:45-5:15
Sundowners will continue to work with the Ministry of Education, the WECHU and the local school boards to ensure that our programs are operating as safely as possible. Ensuring the safety of our children, families and staff continues to be our top priority.
At this time, the date for return to in-class learning has not been determined. Moving forward, all kindergarten and school age families who have already paid for care will receive credits for these sudden closures. Accounting will review all accounts and apply credits to future attendance once a return date has been established.
