Who is Tom Drummond?
He is an emeritus educator of children and adults and a student of both. He has made available as much as he can for anyone to take forward in the way they wish. There are 141 pages at your finger tips and just a click away.
What is a learning story?
A Learning Story engages listeners in an adventure of childhood enlivened with our own humanity and heart. Become a storyteller and share your voice.
When you are considering how you want to display, record, or present how children are learning, you may want to look at engaging in the development of a “learning story”. A “learning
Story” is another way to convey the stages of learning for anyone in any context. For example having at least one picture of a child or a group of children learning together is a starting point for the development of your learning story. A learning story builds on the tradition of stories told around a campfire. There is no right way to tell a story, however a story of learning always begins with the learner’s initiative—where emergence begins. The child or children are their own natural storytellers without cues or direction…we just have to listen to them and observe.
