School Opening Delay

Please be advised that according to the announcement made on December 30, 2021, by Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Heath, Ontario is delaying the return to school until January 5 due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases.

Before and After school programs will be cancelled at all locations January 3 & 4 and resume on January 5, 2022.

At this time, we are working with the local school boards and WECHU to keep Preschool Programs at Holy Cross, King Edward, General Brock, Dougall and Talbot Trail open starting January 3, 2022. The preschool program at St. John Vianney will reopen on January 5. Should this information change, you will be notified via email.

All employees at Holy Cross, King Edward, General Brock, Dougall and Talbot Trail are required to report to work their regular scheduled shift on January 3, 2022. All other employees will not report to their regular workplace.  All employees should be available for contact from Human Resources as further plans are developed.

Please also note that there will be updates in the Ontario COVID-19 school and childcare screening tool in the next coming days. Please ensure you are completing screening prior to attendance and reporting to your supervisor if you are ill. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
